The Organising Committee of the 16th World Congress of the Senologic International Society and 29 Congreso Nacional de la Sociedad Española de Senología is offering an Educational Travel Grant for the National Societies that are Active Members of SIS. The list of these Societies is shown on the web site of the Congress (www.congresomundialsis.com) . The rules of this program for those professionals that are members of the corresponding National Society and interested in it, are:
1st. There will be one Educational Travel Grant for each SIS Active Member.
2nd. Applying physicians must be 35 years old or less.
3rd. An excellent quality of an original paper is required.
4th. The original paper, must be presented to the Authorities of their National Society SIS Active Member.
5th. The Authorities of each National Society will select one paper according to these rules and send a copy and all personal data of the author to the Technical Director of the 16th World Congress of SIS, Dr . Carlos Garbino (e-mail: cgarbino@adinet.com.uy)
If the paper is signed by more than one author, the first one signing will be the recipient of this grant.
6th. The selected papers will be presented in a special session of the SIS International School of Senology. The allotted time will be 12 minutes and will be discussed in 3 minutes by a SIS School of Senology Member.
7th. The Educational Travel Grant consists of:
a) Free Registration for the 16th. World Congress of SIS
b) Free Registration for the Pre-Congress Courses that will be held in October 19th 2010.
c) Accommodation at IBIS Hotel (next to the Congress venue) during 4 nights (19 to 22 of October 2010) on an individual basis room.
The beneficiary author must communicate as soon as possible, to the Congress Technical Director the arrival and departure dates, for Hotel reservation procedures.
d) During the presentation session the beneficiary author will receive the economic grant for the hotel room payment. Extra charges will be paid by him/herself.
e) No advance payment will be performed.
f) Within the next three months, and according to the evolution of the genuine finances of the Congress, shall be communicated to each National Society the amount that will reward to settle expenses in transfers.
8th. THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT PAPERS BY THE
CONGRESS TECHNICAL DIRECTOR IS JUNE 1st. 2010. NO PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE.
9th. SIS NATIONAL SOCIETIES ACTIVE MEMBERS MUST TAKE SPECIAL ATTENTION OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT:
Any SIS Active Member in order to be able to participate in this Scholarship Program must have paid its SIS 2009 Annual Fee (and previous debt if any) up to February 2010.
If they are not in correct due no papers will be accepted and no Educational Travel Grants will be approved.
